Oh, now I like those Les. I've only got one Doll piece like these and realy do appreciate your little set. These things seem to cost more and more money each year. Good quality pieces.

Thankyou for kind words, I try to get these when they are not too expensive but as you say they are getting dearer to purchase.
Which piece do you have?

Isnt that cylinder basically a pump?

Yes it is, and you can make any oscillating piston pump water.

You've added more. Les, you do have to get your own website going. I have a feeling it would be a very valuable reference tool. Here's my one little piece. I do have a couple of Doll mobiles as well.

Great collection of pieces, Les
Manx is right. You are rapidly becoming a reference in your own right. I feel a website is a definite must for the accessories at least.
Particularly liked the Water Well and the Water Wheel. Beautiful pieces in fine condition. Are you going to fill them and shoot some video? Would be great to see all the water pieces in action.
Did Nick buy the Marklin Reservoir and Mill from Mirko?
I'd be interested to see that in motion too.
Great Photos

I will look into a website soon but the polisher you have is a nice piece and the model number is 641.

I will use the accessories as intended and of course I will video them, and I do not know if Nick bought the Marklin Resersvoir.

Yes there is a video of a fountain working but that is a Bing Fountain not a Doll Fountain.

Les, I was wondering if you have tried that 628/0 Doll Water Well out with water.
I would also love to see a video of it working as it was intended to be used.
(By the way, I did end up buying Mirko's Marklin accessory on ebay and when it arrives,
I will also use water in it, like it was intended to be used. )

No not yet, I haven't had the time or space to run it, but rest assured when I do I will post a video.
Congratulations on the Marklin.

I agree.
Wonder how much we're contributing to the price increases.
Particularly like the 608 water well and the 622 water wheel. Great condition.

Heres one I just got.
I filled the tray excitedly with water and got a load of water all over my feet, it isnt waterproof, nor I think is it meant to be
Still, it goes with the other 2 Doll accessories we have, a 4 banded saw and lineshaft, bit like Mooses EOM but the Doll logo is the slightly earlier one as in the watermill/ hammer here

I think you could be right re it not being meant for water, either that or get the silicone out

Its the sort of problem that threatens to banish my steaming from the kitchen table
Its odd though as the waterwheel vanes have had quite a lot of effort gone into making the angles/ scoop for water.

I agree. But, either way, it a very good looking piece. I missed that one. If I'd seen it I'd have been very tempted.
Great Catch. Are we going to see some video?
(1101! What comes next? I think my current title is most appropriate. Would the mods let me keep it forever?)

Yup, the one with the leaky water is X rated though and not recommended.
Will post in the next few days.

That is a fine looking accessory and unfortunately the waterwheels are usually just for show which is a shame.

My Doll 610/1 Fountain arrived today. Paintwork condition is actually really rather good. It's going to need some major work on functionality, however.
http://66.102.9.104/translate_c?h...0_1.html&prev=/language_tools
Primarily it's missing a spout.
Les, what model is the one you posted on page one of this thread?
Don't you also have a 610/2?
Any chance you could post some spout closeups?
Not sure exactly how it was supposed to work. Inside the bowl stand I can see the pipe from the pump. It seems to extend about 1/2 "into the stand and stop. Was the entire stand supposed to fill with water before coming out of the spout?
It doesn't look as if any thing was ever attached to the pipe, but on the other hand, the solder seal between the stand and the base does not seem intact for the entire circumference. This would allow for water to leak back into the pond.
Of course, if the pump is fast enough that may not matter.
Any insights greatly appreciated.

I only have one Doll Fountain and I still haven't found out which model number it is yet.
The water comes out of the spout directly and the bowl is for show only.
You will need the spout as it reduces the hole size so that you build up pressure and force the water out, that way it
rises into the air and not just dribble over the sides.
Hope these pictures help.
