never new they were making flatbases in 1953 because my mm1 is a 1949-1950 and it has a raised base |

MM1s had raised bases in the late 40s. everything else was 1954, 1953 was the last year for flat bases, first year for Mazak flywheels. |

Hmm, yes you will need a two wick burner. I'd personally wait until one comes on ebay Lewis. Wouldn't waste money on the chas steam one or anything. It just won't look right!
