My first Wilesco. This will be arriving with me soon. A small but rather colourful D8 (is that right?) this is a limited run produced in 1997 for the opening of the CHP in Berlin.
Can one of our German members tell me what the CHP in Berlin is as i've been looking for it but can't find any info! From the listing i get the info that it's got something to do with the Berlin Power supply company.

That is certainly an interesting colour scheme!
Did the name 'Bewag' turn anything up?

BEWAG does thow up quite a bit! It's in German so i will filter my way through the pages. I get the impression is that it was to commemorate the opening of a power station in Berlin in 1997. I could be wrong though.

CHP is the term for combined heat and power, and Bewag was the Berlin electricity supply company.
See here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cogeneration

(sorry you'll need to copy and paste the whole of this URL into a browser for it to work properly)
Certainly a nice variation on a rather plain Wilesco engine.

I don't think that there is a day that goes by that i don't use the "german/english", "english/german" option on google translate! It's just that i couldn't quite fathom out the listing on the page when translated

That is indeed a cute little engine...you just don't see that bright a green very often associated with a steam engine. Nice.
