my mamod s.r.1.hi im new to the forum and have just bought a Mamod S.r.1(not the one with the bolted boiler)well got it for £30. It came in the origonal box with leaflets, steering rod, spare band in its packaging and also the funnel. It runs good with no leaks in the boiler. Did i get a good deal? also how much is it acually worth?
Havnt showed the back of the box with instructions on. also should there be a loose sheet with the instructions on in the box even though there stuck on the back

Sorry, I don't know anything about the SR's.
Other forum members know a lot though. They can probably tell you when it was made.

<a href="http://s253.photobucket.com/albums/hh56/martinadam_2008/?action=view¤t=NewImagefj.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh56/martinadam_2008/NewImagefj.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
to viewing an image?
I guess I cut it and paste it somewhere??

I think you got a real good deal, I have two and enjoy them a lot. Mamod Rollers are so much fun.

I reckon you had a good buy with the SR1. Box and bits and it seems to be in a fairly good condition. Well done!

Welcome to the forums, SR1's are some good engines

Hell, I'd buy it for 30£. Mine cost me approx twice that, and I don't have the rod, though it is perhaps in a bit nicer condition.
Those little buggers are great fun. I think I lean a *little* bit towards the Wilesco roller, personally, for fun factor, but I'll never sell my SR1 either.

Is the function turned off in your profile?

Welcome to the forums
At 30 pound that is a great buy. A bargain!
Can't help you on the exact date, but broadly it would be 65-66 possibly into 67 model.

You can never go wrong with a Mamod SR. A great model and loads of fun.

Thanks Nick. I've ticked all the boxes in my profile and now I see the image in the posts without doing anything
Thanks for helping

Now I can see that you have a very fine SR1 and with the box and accessories £30 really is a very good price
Welcome to the forum, too

Thats a bargain, and all complete too.
If the instructions are stuck to the back of the box, there is usually no seperate instruction sheet.
Wallace has pretty much summed the timeline out. I know the instructions on the box back came in around 66.
Another give away is if the boiler is held to the firebox with bolts or copper rivets. Rivet's being later around 66/67.
