My mamod steamrollerDue to newellsmamods help about how to hold down the engine i thought i would give it a try. I made a shaft out of some of my dads old macano to see if i needed to buy a stationary engine to power a small workshop. love it....Mobiles are so underrated as a static which in the real world most of them chugged to where they where needed and put to work powering machines , just like yours, or hauling loads to far away places. Rollers as you know crushed the stone etc before they even started to flatten the road.

They have the same power as a Minor 2, that's about it.  . So they are as good as a Minor 2, and better than a Minor 1 (state the obvious MM)
I guess the mobiles would also run longer than a Minor 2, although unsure! 
It's just easier to secure the stationarys down, that's all

well a mm2 can run a complete workshop, so i looks good for the sr1,plus you can trundle it about...works for me and buzbuz | ||||
