My Mom wrote a book a few years ago, she was inspired to do this while we were building a Tipi in the back yard. A real Tipi, I went in to the woods with a chainsaw, cut down the trees for the poles.... so on.
So she wrote this book, "The Twelve Foot Tipi"
She could not get a publisher to take it on, so she self published. Not making any money, limited distribution. It is available on Amazon tho. And all who have read it, liked it.

So not this independent film maker is coming here in July, to see the Tipi, and meet the family. Then make a movie.
That is cool beyond words. Still will not make us any money at all, but it is really cool!! She met this guy, because she and my Dad have become regulars on the Jordan Rich show on WBZ (radio). It must be broadcast cross country, cause they callers from all over.

I just HAD to share this titbit.

Oh no. I will not be in it. My part in the book is minimal anyway, and there will be professional actor doing that stuff. Not me, no way, no how, not a friggin chance.

1. I am writing three sci fi books this summer. My brother in law James coburn and my sister paula really wanted me to finish this book. So I am glad to here some one has succeded, it give me more incentive to inish mine, thank you.

james coburn, he died in my sister paula's arms at their home in beverly hills and then a year later my sister died at only age 47 from jimmy's second hand cigar smoke. it gave her cancer that spred to 30 brain tummors. but I never saw two soul mates in such love like they were. always kissing and hugging, I had to say " hey both of you go get a room" Jimmy rebutled in his deep low voice
"Why Mark, we have a mansion in Beverly Hills" . Lord God what nice man who married my sister boy do I miss them both. Jimmy was totaly cool.

My Mom will be glad to help inspire someone else to write.
My Dad, is a big Movie buff, and was TV reporter for channel 7 in Boston for 30+ years. He had met Coburn on many occasions, said he was a really nice guy, and he had really crippling arthritis.
I think the last thing he did was "Sister Act II"
His hands looked pretty painful there.
Sorry to hear your sister had to go so young, thats rough. But it does sound like she was happy.

Jimmy always loved playing the bad guy,

He was alot of fun, I remember at dinner at spogo's one night that ava gabor (green acres) came over to our table and started massaging my shoulders asking me " and where are you from, Greece" I had to "Say, No Im from cleveland baby"

I designed a special hand maching to cure his arrthritis, and he realy wished for my put it out on the market because it helped his hands rumitory aththritis, I now have no choice as an engineer to finish both jimmy and paula's wishes, they really love me and took very good care after me as they still are now as their will desires, and shall be done.

Or I can send a signed copy for anyone who is interested. I think they cost about 15 dollars. As i said, we do not make any money on this. (at least not very much)

The Movie producer is Andrew Silver. Just did a movie call "Radio Cape Cod" and another about girls in sports, I forget the title of hand......

Getting published is kinda fun. I have been writing off and on for at least ten years now, had a article here and there get published, Home Shop Machinist, Model Railroader, and Finescale Railroader, to name a few.

What I would like to see is some of you guys, with your knowledge of Mamod, Jensen, Wilesco, and other small scale steamer, bombard publication like Garden Railways and Garden Rail with article submissions.

Peter Jones ("Scribbling On A Workshop Wall") write a column with a British/English accent in the Garden Railways publication. Any of you have any contacts with him ?
