Very nice and a good price I personally would go with the vertical one, mainly because I just like the look of it.

Clinton, I hear nothing but good things about Graham Industries engines, you probably won't go wrong with either choice.

thanks all for your comments. I'm keeping this purchase a secret- the others in my family will go bonkers if they find out I'm buying another steamer.

The trick is to buy something that looks like something you already have and keep it hidden for awhile and then when other people see it and ask if its new you can just say 'No had it for ages' Helps if you can get a bit of dust to settle on it or a few oil splats.

Nice one.
I think it's time you get yourself a meccano set and build a showground ride that you can power off one of your engines.
You've got some great engines and I think its now time you put them to work.

If you know what size set it was I may have some suitable plans for something, or have a look in the meccano section as I've already posted a few plans there

I've got an unwanted set 5 from the seventies (yellow and zinc) which I could sell you if your interested, would just need to figure out what it is worth or just trawl all you local antique shops and sometimes you can get a lot unboxed for a good price.

Sorry, Tony, I'm not a fan of Meccano.
