As I mentioned in my introduction to you guys in August, My uncle left me his awesome collection of steam engines , electric trains , clockwork models etc.. I am still sorting them all out, but I came across this last week and it blew my mind. Let me know what you think !!!

If you do want to fire it up find a local model engineering club and get them to test the boiler first.

you must be lucky!
a coalfired engine! Is it 3,5 inch or a 5 inch model ?  By the way the gauge is not so important . I hope you find a way to ride it and than post a vid of this beauty under steam ! As mentioned above : Make an hydraulic test first to see if  she´s steamable at all and than off with her on the rails !

cheers Joe

Yeap, and will more than likley need a 10 year hydrollic on it and also if the tester is unfamiliar with the boiler and you have no history may insist you have the boiler out and off for inspection.
andysleigh

your one lucky chap.

We have one as a club loco at guildford model club.
Ran it the other week, and went very well.
