New Flatbase SE1This arrived yesterday 
For the first time ever I had someone contact me through my website regarding an engine.
Apparently it had travelled around the country and to all her different sheds over the years  She said she wanted to sell it to a collector so we arranged a fair price between us and the rest is history.

Think I will clean the crud off the base and treat the firebox so it doesn't get any worse. Decal is in really good condition.
Not sure if I should polish it or not?

Nice engine mate. Yep give it a polish over. Fire it first, polish it, then fire again

That's very nice MM, I would be very reluctant to polish it as I think it would look a bit 'odd'.
