New Loco Added to the FleetHere are a few pics of my newest loco -
I had a pair of short engine frames, a 4 wick meths burner, smokebox and some side tanks in my spares box. I figured I would make myself a new loco. Alan from Dream Steam supplied me with cylinders, regulator, H.P. boiler and some steel wheels. Alan from Loco Plates supplied me with the front and rear body panels.
It runs very smooth right from the start and looks right at home with my other 2 engines
I have yet to fit the brass window surrounds and the nameplates.

You did quite a good job, you should consider Gas Fired.

My green mamod is gas fired, thats enough for me. I quite like meths for firing and the four wick burner holds plenty of it.

I am curious about the 4 wick burner, I am only familiar with the three wick ones.
Hopefully in a week or so, I will have another Gas fired Loco in my collection.

Graham-
Been away for bit of a while, are you fabricating more things these days? You were working on a meths burner about six months ago.
Paul's loco shows that it *may* be cheaper to build a "Mamod" out of bits vs buing a S/H one and then replacing half of it with upgrade parts?
Either way, it is a sharp looking locomotive!

The lubricator was made by graham and it works really well. The 4 wick burner requires major surgery to your loco to fit. The chassis frames need to be cut off at the ends as well as the drag beam. I used it because I had the frames to match, but I would fit gas rather than cut up a good loco.
I made mine out of bits but it would be cheeper to buy a Jane or Janet which is the same spec.

I made the oiler for Paul as a one off was thinking of making more and putting them on ebay but have been too busy with building an 16mm gauge loco and have just bought a 7 1/4 gauge loco so have been quite busy lately
