New Loco purchase - Salem Locomotives 'Emlyn'I saw this loco on Ebay and thought it would be a nice addition to my growing collection of Modified Mamods, I'm begining to collect quite a good record of Mamodology through the years! Also included were the locos operating instructions and a Salem Catalogue from 1997, the date the loco was originally purchased.
Loco could benefit from a little clean and some of the paintwork touching up. One interesting difference from my other loco's the boiler is a fair bit longer than that on my IP Jane, sadly no water level gauge although there is a top up valve.

Yep - that'll let you know when it's over filled! Becomes a boiling hot water pistol rather than a steam engine. I imagine when it stops the water level is low...

That is a beauty, that longer boiler looks good.

Thats nice, I like the look of that.
Shame I didn't start collecting when these things were actually been made new.

Love the rivet detail. Looks long enough to make it a 0-6-0 or have a pilot/trailing truck. Nice find.
