New Zealand Mobile

I was going to keep this quiet and let the final owner announce this but I'm just too excited.
Last week I won this on the NZ trademe website.
I'm only acting as a middle man as only people in OZ and NZ can bid on trade me and when I receive it will be forwarding it on to its real owner once I get it and have had a close look at it.

Its a David Auld steam roller from New Zealand.
It hasnt got the smooth simple lines of a Mamod but has a definite charm about it.
I find it very interesting how OZ and NZ mobiles evolved in very similar styles which was completely different to everywhere else.

I'm ok with Tony telling people. Yes it's me. This will be one very travelled toy by the time it gets to me. Tony has very kindly been helping me get one of these mobiles and we've seen a few. I think this is the 4th we've looked at and possibly in the best condition.
It is going to be a very interesting addition to my collection and my first with this kind of drive.

No problems but it is going to take up to about 6 weeks to get to me. I think we'll get photo's from Tony first. Hopefully in about 2 weeks time.

And that's why I like to try and collect lots of different mobiles. I know the family will say "how much", "for that", "don't you have one of those already". But the forum will understand and think it is money well spent. I hope
