Newbie in the UK

Hi All

just joined and want to say Hi.

I started collecting last year after trying to get my old TE1a going. It soon became apparent why it had been put in the cupboard all these years. The whistle boss has come loose, I'd like to repair it at some point. Since then I've bought a few stationary engines and some of the road vehicles. These are all the later Mamods, can't afford the really old ones. I also like the railway engines, will post a question in that section.

cheers
Dave

Hi Dave,

Welcome from one of the three known Indiana, USA steam collectors.  One of us is even touring the UK at the moment and was part of STIA yesterday.  We get around!!!

I'm sure someone on here can assist you with advice about soldering the boss back into place on your TE.

cheers and glad to have you join us,

Hi Gremlin.

I'm sure there are several threads about loose whistle bushes - it's a common problem.

Welcome to the forum - you've come to the right place.
