It's number 30.

Wow, those are quite the impressive engines. I hope the Mails are that quick as I am sure you will be sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for it to arrive.

It will be a long wait, but I still have 2 engines and 4 accessories on the way before that one.
Minor1PJG

You won't be disappointed they are great engines!!

Well done.
Mamodman123

And I'm not sure if he's going to sell the second half as a kit or not.
MamodFan

It ticks over on 2 PSI !

It is what the pressure gauge on my compressed air regulator was reading when I was testing it at the weekend:lol:

I believe you
johnreid

So, I assume that Nicks new engine will be rated for at least 2 PSI

I bet under full pressure that thing will fly.
Nick

They attempted delivery yesterday, but I just got home now.

I will have to wait until 8 am Tuesday morning to pick it up.

My thoughts exactly.
Les Marsh

That's a shame.
Nick

I just got back from the post office, opened it up, and I am very happy with this little engine.

I'll post pictures shortly.

Get one before they're gone!
mc_mc

Are you going to...
Nick

Now, when will I fire it?
Les Marsh

As soon as possible hopefully.
mc_mc

Although it's a pretty ornament it looks much better in motion.  It'll be interesting to see how noisy yours is or more to the point isn't.

Only Nick will know as his videos don't come with sound!

Then I would say it's going to be pretty quiet.

These engines are very quiet when running. The only noise really is the slight spray from the exhaust (my own fault from overfilling it really ).

My MFTwin has to be my best runner
steamgranny

Another wonderful addition to the burgeoning collection
Nick

And I still haven't steamed it yet.
Minor1PJG

Come on - you know you want to.

They clean up really easily and are back to being an ornament again in no time

Why not???
MamodFan

Now you all know that they are static models

Nick's certainly is.
johnreid

Nick has an air compressor with a Regulator, if nothing else, run it on air

My Jenny Wren has seen more use than Nicks MF Twin, who would have thought that?
pauly

nick I command you to run that engine or I will use the power of my jealousy to turn you into a fruit-fly

kidding

Im not jealous at all
Nick

MamodFan wrote:

Not this one, it NEEDS to be run.
Nick

I think I'm going to go fire it up.

What now.
Nick

I've got to take some pictures of the unfired engine first.

It will only be unfired once, so I had to get plenty of pictures.

I also want to show off Ian's work on these little engines.

Have you taken a video of the unfired engine.

No, but I think I took 16 more pictures!
Nick

These will be the last pictures and then I'll go fire it.

One of my favorite features is the brushed finish to the boiler.

I would like to thank Ian for building such an amazing engine, that everyone here should have.

Les Marsh

You could have straightened the boiler before you took your pictures.

Nick

I noticed that after the pictures.

Take them again.
Nick

I fastened it down to some wood for the run.

These nylon washers I picked up at the hardware store work great at protecting paint.

I have also never used a burner like this, so I hope I got the wick right.

Here was my first attempt, but the flame was too orange:

After a little trimming, I got a blue flame, but it might need a bit more trimmed:

johnreid

Better take 16 more so they are all just right, no need to blemish it with Meths.
Nick

The fire is under the boiler.

Nick

It ran very well and very quiet. I have 2 videos loading right now.

Nick
