No more wise words from mejust returned from the hospital where they took 2 of my wisdom teeth out...
Didn't hurt yet, since I'm still quite heavily sedated. Hope it stays that way...

I had all 4 of mine done at once years back, had nice bruised cheeks for a week or two.

Nearly 48 and still got mine.

I had four taken out at once, there was a big emergency at work and I went right to heavy lifting etc and ended up with four dry sockets. Something I will NEVER forget.
Take it easy for a few days and all will be fine.

... had 2 pulled at once - ouch. But that was nothing to the surgery I had: Two tumors (benign they were, thank God) removed from the roof of my mouth. Now that was really really effing pain.

My Father had one on the roof of his mouth that was not benign and sadly is no longer with us. That is one thing NOT to take lightly. So glad yours were benign and that you are here to share steam info with.

I must not be too wise. I never got any, the dentist couldn't find them. Lucky me!

Mine had to be removed because they would start to push other teeth away. I think it's was already 8 months ago my dentist gave me the prescription to go to the hospital for it, so it was about time to do something.
I'll have to go for a second session to do the other two in march . The sedation is worn off now, so it's a little more painful now. Worst thing is that's is difficult to eat, and there are so many tastefull things lying around

mine took forever to come in. I wasn't even aware they were there until the dentist told me one day.
I've got a big mouth

Good to have them out while young, if they are to come out at all.
I have mine, none of them erupted...well, just one, and only at my age fifty--when I had a rear molar crowned.
That seemed to be the clew for that one wisdom tooth to come forth
and push the new crown job askew!
Funny, getting a 'new' tooth at that age.
It's no problem. I will keep all my teeth for their or my own duration now!
I recall over twenty five years ago, an eager young British oral surgeon here in town did a look over and stated,
"You have all four wisdom teeth, down there, not coming forth.
It is an absolute must to pull them all now." He was emphatic.
It would cost an even grand.
From him I went to a friend, an elderly, retired dentist, and showed him the pictures.
"Well. Surgeons surge and dentists dent. You ask my opinon?
I say, leave them be unless and until someday you have real trouble."
I've never had trouble.

I hope you asked for the teeth so you could exchange them with the 'tooth fairy' for another steam engine.

Loss of WisdomOuch! The things that are discussed here, amazing.
Anyway, all four of mine were removed, when I was 17, right after school let out. Ended up with four dry sockets, and black eyes. Looked like a raccoon for a week! Could have done without the dry sockets, that was misery.

They didn'y give them to me, so the tooth fairy won't visit me
This time was a bit worse than the last time, last time I had no swelling at all, but right now I look like a hamster.

I just had a big molar taken out. It was bad. Took 35 minutes to remove it. Hurt a lot. I am going in for the one remaining wisdom tooth soon. Have to get some other things fixed first. Have not had any dental care in about 10 years. (no insurance)
I hope you feel better.
