one thing you have to keep in mind........ the "nut and bolt" ....boiler to firebox mostly corrode and leak!!!! ive had five in my time...all leaked. 
its a easy fix!!!!! but!!!!! not as a "nut and bolt" you have to remove the bolt and replace with a "self sealing" pop rivet!!! the same fitting that is used on later models......so originality is destroyed!!! if this "fix" isnt desired ....then best leave them alone!!!! mine all go like the clappers....but have rivets
