Nope, that was filmed last night. The decal, the paint, everything buggered up 
But I'd rather have a running model than a shelf queen (when it's been repainted anyway!).
Next time I'll laquer the base. I bought some last time but never used it

The damage to the base paint is only a semi cirlce where the burner went onto the base.
Firebox is a defo redo. Ahh well, 6 weeks holiday coming right up!

James, if you repaint any parts...give them a few days to a week before firing or exposing them to meths. They might look dry and feel dry, but only time really toughens them up.

Thanks mate! I haven't really timed, but about 15mins? I top the burner up about 3 times to one tank of water
