Psycadelic Mamod MM1 resto shot by an air rifle as well

This ia a really bad one here, someones decided to redo all the paintwork, so all needs stripping.

Some of it is poorly painted on, and may come off with wire wiool.
We will see

Air rifle pellet

needs a boiler strap but came with SV plug and burner.

IndianaRog

I'll bet the shooter was aiming for the boiler...fortunately he was a lousy shot!  The firebox ding should hammer out if you are refinishing it.

Wow thats a nasty one!

Should restore ok though!
Nick

I wonder if they tried to shoot it while it was running.

Good Luck!
Les

There is not a lot you can say about those colours except

Will be glad to see it restored.
Nick

The hardest part will be flattening the firebox. Any little dimple will stand out on a black firebox.

... bugger shot a Mamod M1 ... what's the world comming to? The colours are very Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, but it should reatore nicely after stripping the paint and knocking out the gunshot ding.
oldstuff

Takes more than a BB gun to kill a Mamod!
This one will come back!
