Attention Cyldon collectors...My unusual Cyldon is up for grabs and I hope a Cyldon collector gets it. The auction end time is such that UK bidders won't have to get up at 3:00 AM to bid in it!

Sorry.......
I still think that`s a home made boiler/ firebox, to replace the blown original one.

Maybe not... | Stilldrillin wrote: | Sorry.......

There are too many differences between this engine and a factory Cyldon 13/2 to explain away. Put them side by side and you would see that these differences were evolutionary changes (improvements in design). And if the boiler did blow, how do you explain the need to make a new cylindrical burner of completely different design? Did the burner blow up too? Sorry, but my hypothesis is the better one.

The way I see it is that it is possible, and your auction says Cyldon-like You state that you are led to believe that theory, and nowhere is it stated as fact.
I do not think it is in the least bit deceptive, and a lot less deceptive than the repaints of Mamods sold by a certain Seller in the UK and the Australian Seller that occasionally has "SOFT" Jensen hammers. The crux of the matter is, a buyer needs not only to read the items description, but think too. again, I do not see where that is a deceptive listing.
Wish I had the budget as it looks like an interesting piece if nothing else.
