BAd photo - but I.D. helpI have a line on a tug boat kit and this power plant-- Sorry for the fuzzy photo but for the money I can't pass it up......
Does this look remotely familiar to anyone? I know Mamod made three marine engines- ME1, Me2, and ME3 ( with alot of ME1 out there)
Anyway any info would be great- Thanks

It's a Midwest Model VI, presumably built from the kit. A bit more info here http://www.midwestproducts.com/item_detail.asp?item_id=108

Yes I would go with JOhn and the kit costs about $70 US. Mooseman has one.

Thanks-
I have a shot a one that is assembled and a full wooden tug model to go with it for $100 US- But I would have to pay shipping...I may just hold off and but the kit and build my own and get an boat more to my liking( a tug was not what I had envisioned with all of you and your beautifully simple Bowmans... and the like. I know an upright boiler is not- Bowman bound but .......

You could build the Hobbies Arrow hull and put it in there.....
