Help, thread sizes of german enginesHelp, I'm trying to replace fittings on a number of older german models and in need of info of thread sizes for Bing, Marklin ,Doll and Plank.
Have also heard some are fine threads some are coarse.
Thanks to Mirko I now know that Doll fits Fleischmann models.

I have two Bing Locos and if you want I can try to measure the SV thread size, although its a bit hit and miss measuring threads as SVs only ever have a few turns of thread on them, not really enough to be 100% that you have got it right.
I'm guessing they would be metric though.

Must be nice to have TWO bing locomotives !
If you can I'd appreicate it. Would be metric, No metal working skills except for soldering and making small casings- no machining experience. Here in US hard to get a metric guage.
When I started collecting -most models I got were germans and even tough I held out for better condition examples, many are missing something besides the constantly missing stack.
Next thing I'll be seeking guidence will be advice on reproducing stacks.
