Burnac Vulcan: Will some one buy me?Hi everyone,
I'm selling my lovely Burnac Vulcan
She works a treat ... lovely sound, lovely smell ... the works. Original green paint on base; original red on sight glass ... original burner. She has a brass boiler and copper top ... which is a bit unusual.
Things done ... steam pipe soldered onto top of boiler (by Mooseman). New seal for sight glass. Good clean and polish ... lots of TLC.
Things needed ... new wick for burner (old wick still there but probably needs replacing) and two screws to hold the boiler onto the base. Mind you, the boiler fits nice and tight onto the base that the screws are probably not required.
There is a thread in Restorations if you want to see more about the history.
I'm really sorry to have to part with the Vulcan ... she is a really lovely engine ... I hope to show you the reason why soon.
Interested?? PM me with serious offers (by serious I mean over £75), then we can chat about postage options.
Pete
PS: In case you don't remember what she looks like, here is a photo:

They are really nice engines, but I already have two which need new boiler bottoms, so a third is not really an option, sorry.

This is an original one, similar to a SEL.

Hi Cranko,
Looks like the other guys have answered your question (thanks guys).
The valve came with the engine. I bought the engine in a junk shop so don't know it's history. Mooseman has given the engine a good once over and it steams up really well.
If you have an original Vulcan valve but no Vulcan ... then what you need is a Vulcan
Cheers
