ooops more money spent

just bought the first engine I ever drove!  Had a tinker last week and it started up fine.  Heres a pic of it and the very loco its based on.

Does the model have a jack shaft drive like the original. It doesn't look like it in the photo. It looks strange with the big gap between the 1st and 2nd axles without the jackshaft to fill it (or is it just not visible in the shadow?

It also looks a bit odd with the "tender". Can't you disguise it as something else?

Apart from those petty niggles, it's not bad, as disiesels go

it does indeed have a jackshaft but it hasn't been fitted in too many years to think of!

I personally like the tender, its better than a silly wagon behind it!  It also serves a purpose in that it carries the starter motor battery.

I first drove this loco at the age of 11, so I've been doing this quite a few years now.  I always said I'd end up buying it!

I found and uploaded a video of it going.
As you can see its doing its bit for the environment!

Wow, I like that.

My aunt has a 5'' ride on LMS steam loco, that's absolutely brilliant fun to drive.

Have fun with it!
bessytractor

may I ask what kind of LMS loco it is?

theres an old picture of a very much younger me driving it on a ballast train.  I'll see if I can find it.
