our workshopsNow that Iv tidied up my messy workshop I thought Id post some pics of it up
Iv got all the modelling essentials and because my dads a plumber I have access to a load of expensive and really usefull tools.
from a different angle
Im trying to keep my area nice and tidy which is ironic because Im keeping my workshop tidier than my bedroom
Iv gotten the essential literiture, glues and oils for model making
and a TV plus DVD player combination is very usefull when your holding 2 parts together for 10 minutes while the glue drys
and a white/black boards is very usefull for writing little bits of info down which your likley to forget
ans I sometimes make models as well as watching TV in here
thats mine lets see yours.....

Looks a nice and orderly workshop.
I've got a few projects/restos on the go at the mo', but with my being shed in a shambolic state, its a job to get on with them.
I occasionally set about tidying up, moving stuff about, clearing a spot and then piling up stuff on that clean spot and so it goes on. Its tough being a hoarder!
After an hour or so of merely moving stuff about, I normally take a break and fire up an engine, which kills off any more tidying
Far too ashamed to post pictures up in its current state

That's far too tidy. You've obviously got too much time on your hands. Get back to work

I have a shed though it's full of food as our kitchen is fairly small.

I can only show you results when I myself have them.

Seems rather confined for a workshop.
Have you ever set fire to the curtains/duvet when steaming one up?

nearly, and steam oil is not my wife's preferred lubricant in bed, so I always use steam up in the garden now

My upstairs workshop.
Most of these engines are waiting for repair.
There are two benches here, but it's still hard to find free work space.
Downstairs workshop.

Got to check the output of the AC generators, John.
Only pure sine wave is acceptable!

Right, that's it, something had to be done about the s******e that I call a workshop! I spent all of Friday night tidying, most of today tidying and shall spend a lot of tomorow tidying and modifying benches.

Worked with my mate most of the day fitting a new corrugated bitumen roof on the workshop.
With all the hammering and banging, all the stuff fell off the walls, and I'm afraid I'll have to set to with a will tomorrow in order to get it back to it's usual tidy appearance.
At least it's water tight again.

Do you mean this one?
I bought it off Dampfzauber (Mirko) when we met in Wuppertal.
Made from aluminium and steel, Mirko called it a "mystery" engine.
Here is a link to his story about it.

Since I tidied up my workshop and put a telly in it Iv been spendign a lot more time in there because having a telly helps create a very relaxed atmosphere, your having a difficult time getting something to work and getting all hot headed and tempered just put on some standup and have a laugh and relax.
well I go tto think why not hook up a spare game unit to it
anyone here who knows me well will know that I have an interest in old school gaming (early 90s and 80s) and I had an NES unit going spare because my bedroom telly cant take anymore systems (its got a playstation 2, Sega megadrive and a couple more obscure consoles hooked up right now)
anyway now I can sit back on me workshop stool and play NES
nothing quite like a bit of Contra

Hey Les.
I've got the very same Dremmel Drill Press attachment you have there on your Workshop picture.
Do you know where can I get the clamps to hold the piece you are working on?
I know many of you can build your own but I am not that good and lack the equipment to build my own.
Off course, Dremmel does not produce/sell them.
