Toxx got me thinking about how much our furry friends add to our lives
Here is mine helping me measure my Jensen 25

Cant go wrong with good help.
They grow quickly too, here he is three months ago

A real heartbreaker
James

Aye mate!

Animals rule my life

I got:

7 cats
1 dog
17 sheep
2 mini chickens (when they die I'll get a load of Lincolnshire Buffs)
5 horses
1 rabbit ( )

Used to have 2 pigs and 4 ducks aswell
MTA

I have just the one goldfish, but we are at some point going to get a cat from a Rescue home Our family has always been a cat family (so to speak!)
James

BTW John

Really nice cat! Looks like our ginger one when he were a kitten, had a small face and massive ears

Psycho George, my old tabby.
erikl

When I've moved to my new home, I want to get 2 kittens out of the Animal shelter. My parents want one too, so I hope we can get three from the same mother.

I may have to put a lock on my steam engine cabinet
Lewis

1 dog (border collie)
1 tortoise
Griffin

2 Dogs

About 5 cats.  Their pretty wild, so don't see them very often.

Oh and both a Cock and Hen pheasant, just like the ones James has
Andy

i got 2 gold fish, and a cat called suzy
Kritika

Sergio, my wife’s 3yr old miniature dachshund, his favourite pastimes are

· Chasing squirrels (with no success)
· Chasing my TE1a around the back yard (which led to the burnt nose incident, sorry no video!)
· Standing on my desk and walking on the keyboard when I am typing (he thinks he is a cat)
· Basking in the sun and writing poetry when he thinks no one is watching

He also holds down a steady job, he is my wife’s office assistant - duties include filing and shredding (he likes shredding the best)

toxx

... Kritika, I just luuuv that little Dachshund! What a swell guy! And his job description ...
A pal of mine has a "Rauhaar Dackel" - somber and wise fellow, looks like a certain politician from around here.
Kritika

Thanks for that Tom,

I am so sorry to hear about your Spaniel. I love all pets and hate to see them suffer...I do hope he is going to be OK.

look at that grin

Kritika...amongst our pack of 4 dogs...two are wire hair miniature dachshunds and we love them to bits.

One has truly wiry hair like pig bristles, the other (his uncle) has silky soft 2 inch hair.  Both are about as different as nite and day in their personalities.  Great pets to curl up with on the couch when watching TV...they are like a hot water bottle!!!
Nick

Caught my cat sleeping with an engine.
Wallace

Great pic

Actually, all the pics in this thread are great
Nick

Cat looks more disgusted with me than anything.
James

Wow!

Great engine that Robert Fulton! I were bidding on one just the same the other day but lost

I've got 3 like that. My grandpa has one that is gray like the electric ones, but looks just like mine. Never seen any other gray ones, they're always black.
James

Ooo 3?

Is one for sale?
Nick

Nope.

The one in the picture is in the best shape.

My other two are a little worse:

One, the decal is damaged on and where the burner goes it has been welded up (probably rusted through), but you can't see it from the outside. I also made my own base for that one as it was missing it.

The other, is missing the black paint and all chalky. I bought it for the safety valve and gave it to my grandpa for Christmas. It was all that was missing on his.
James

Thought not LOL

That’s brilliant Rog, I love the wire haired ones as well.  And you so have it right about the personalities and hot water bottle properties of Daxies....

So now when I am next on business in the US I have not just your engines to call in and see, but also your dachshunds as well

My wife’s asked if you can post a picture of your two boys.
toxx

... yes, please, some pix!

That was my cat curled up in his bed during the cold winter.

And here he is today laying in the hot sun that was shining through the window :

It was too hot for him to hold an engine today. The temperature was already up to 74° F today. It's already getting hot and miserable out and I got sun-burned pretty bad today.

Fish all the way for me. Photo is a bit old

The Angel fish is now nearly 10 years old!

Fish are good. The kids love them, they are very relaxing to watch, and best of all - when you go on holiday you don't have to worry about who looks after them and feeds them. The big ones eat the little ones and so they look after themselves
James

I'll post pics of all my pets later
pauly
