That looks big and heavy. It will need something a bit more than your average Mamod or Bowman boat engine.

A Stuart Turner Twin or something similar.

BIG boat, what kind of engine do you want to put in it? For fun you might want to use dual shafts and smaller (more affordable and accesible) engines.

Aye a nice twin would see mto be needed... the affordable Graham Industries twin or even the more affordable PM research twin at the very least.
Graham twin TVR1A at $245 USD
http://www.grahamind.com/tvr1a.html( will need 3 channel rc to run- 1 for throttle, 1 for F/R adn 1 for rudder)
Or the PM research twin
sorry for the enormous size of the picture...

at $159...is a steal!!
Both are machiend -assemble it yourself kits

I'm no expert on marine architecture but to me the shape looks like a tug or a small frieghter. It's certainly not a speedboat or yacht.

Id have to agree with Mo... That is one heavy looking hull, but I love it . You would need a larger engine thou. Those PM research engines are cheap and should give enough power. There's some on ebay I think for cheap.
Looking forward to seeing this project.

It certainly looks like a tug, or a Clyde Puffer. I should think it will look spectacular on the water.
(Who remembers Para Handy and The Vital Spark? )

That's the other one I was trying to think of. I agree.

A tug or deep sea fishing vessel maybe but I don't think it is a Clyde Puffer.

You're right. I've found a photo of a real one and it's nothing like it:

There's a sort of generic similarity but no more.

The size looks nice and the materials look substantial...That hull should last a long time.....No matter what you build it out to be!!

It would certainly be a force to be reckoned with on the boating pond that's for sure! I guess about the only thing suitable for propulsion would be a double acting twin really.

thanksthe interesting and enjoyable thing is the friendlyness you guys have, its great to see enjoyment out of other peoples items, and yes my general idea was a tug of some type with a nice mast,or a fishing boat with the gear that raises and lowers into the water, still chiseling away inside atm,yea i should get a pic of her in the water to see how far she sinks in,thanks for all the advice and interest heh
