Plans and machining tips for a small oscillatorI just found this website and thought it'd be of interest to some of the members here who have access to a small lathe!

Lots of math
I'm only an Algebra 1 student, I'm in the 8th grade. I took a highschool course and passed.

Thanks for the website
My brother brought over a mini-lathe but neither of us know how to use it. Made note of the website and can't wait to find time to give it a try.
Thanks again.

For those with an interest in machining model engines from scratch, you might find this forum of interest. Unlike many machinist boards, it's well moderated, friendly place that refuses to let old timers abuse beginners. Even most rank newbie questions get thoughtful answers and lots of helping hands willing to assist when you get stuck.
There is always some interesting projects to follow or to join in on and the level of workmanship ranges from dead simple to sometimes astounding. Both are respected and shared with equal excitement.
