They are great fun and, normally, great value for money. The starting price for this one is about the maximum I'd pay. They normally sell for between £4 - £6.

That must be a particularly rare example, then

There are some big ones that are expensive but that one looks about the same size as normal. I have 3, one I payed about £5 for, the other two I payed about £4 for.

If you want to start collecting them seriously then, yes, you should seek out the rare and interesting ones, but if you just want a bit of fun then one for £5 is as good as one for £25 (IMHO).

I think James used to have some for sale at very good prices. I don't know if he has any left.
gremlin

they look fun, keep meaning to pick one up myself but haven't seen a design I like yet. What about the Titanic one on ebay, gonna need a bigger bath.
dervard94

I've got a few, they're really good fun.

The Titanic one doesn't work overly well, I've got a spare boiler and pipes and  may fit a 2nd boiler to it.

I payed £5 for mine, and £7.50 for the Titanic.
gremlin

is the Titanic underpowered then, it's a good deal larger than the little speedboat type.
dervard94

Yes, it has exactily the same boiler as the little speedboats, two boilers I think would work well.
newsteamer123

i dont realy get those putput boats but they do look nice

thats a good idea!
superbiker_uk

I have sold all my pop pop collection but the best one I had - and a nice large boat to have - is the Titanic Pop Pop boat.  These are available at a good price from ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAP...mp;viewitem=&salenotsupported

I had an early printed box version of it and sold it on ebay for £50    back in April

My experience of the Titanic was that it went as well as the smaller boats albeit a bit slower - much more gracefull though going round my Koi pond
Bernhard
