post officeok today my dad took james polisher and tmuirs parcel to the post office the guy asked what was in the them so my dad said model steam engines and the guy said are they mamods and my dad siad yes and he says he knows about the forum and i got a mamod leaflet he gave my dad.
Dont know if this guy is a member but my dad going to ask and find out a little more

My post man rang the door bell to give me something that could have fit through the letter box, only so he could 'check me out' so to speak. As he too is a steam fan & reguarly buys for Forrest & Chas, so was all too familiar with the packaging .
Needless to say, my 'steam' parcels now get the care and attention they deserve

I hate my postie, he's lucky he comes when I'm at work or I think I would do something to him as he always folds my mail in half to put it in the letter box even when he does not need to or it says do not bend.
He managed to 'fold' a CD in half once and one of my certificate for work qualifications. When I completed my Cert IV in IT I told the TAFE (TAFE is like a college) 'Don't post me certificate, I'll come in and pick it up.'
Luckily its a different person that delivers parcels otherwise I think he would try and fold them in half too.
I once went to the post office to make a complaint about him and was told.
'Oh hes a contractor you can't make complaints about your postman at the postoffice you have to go in person to another company.'
The place I would have to go to is about 6 or 7km away in an industrial area so I've never made an official complaint....yet

I know. My only solice is the weather is warming up which means the ants are coming out and I might not put ant poison around the letter box this year and hope the ants swarm him. 
The only down side is they would swarm me too when I remove the mail.

About 10 years ago I bought a mint Gorgi, James Bond Aston Martin, in it's box. Postie delivered it to the wrong address
By the time I tracked it down, the householders kids had opened it, thrown the box away and where playing with my car.

MY HOUSE NUMBER IS 289. I regularly get stuff for 189 - they never read the address or postcode. The PO must try better in some cases.

Did you get the people who opened the parcel to pay for the car?
In Australia opening someone elses mail is a Federal offence.

Try chlorpyrifos (sp??) around the letterbox. Should get rid of the ants and the postie.
