Pre-war Mamod SE2Hi guys!
You probably remember this engine that was on ebay. Anyway I struck a deal with Chris a while back that I would swap something I had if a pre-war SE2 came along. One did, so we did a swapsie So a big thanks to Chris for making this happen
This Mamod SE2 is quite an early one I think. It has the Hobbies colours and the early Mamod/Hobbies type box. I've not seen one like it before but it's 100% totally original with base/firebox all original. It was built around 1937-39 probably closer towards 37.
I now have SE1, SE2, SC3, SE4 all pre-war so it's nice to have a set of engines. I've attached some pictures below.
My pre-war engines above there.
All I need now is the pre-war SE3 and MM1/MM2, oh and the SC2/4 if i'm to totally complete the range. Well, you never know when one might turn up

I suppose preservation is better than damaging the original material. It would be interesting to see one going though.

excellent, if I had one I don't think I'd fire it, but I think I'd put an air line on it just for laughs.

MM, another great addition. You do seem to be going for pure class these days with your engines. Ok that's a full set of pre-war engines. so what are looking for next?
