Pre-war toolsA quick snap of my only pre-war mamod tools
The C1 lineshaft in the background
The M2 polishing spindle in the foreground!
These tools are very rare more so than the engines in some cases, ive only ever seen 2 polishers, 3 lineshafts, never seen the hammer or the press, so they must be almost impossible to find. The problem is that the polisher is not marked mamod anywhere, only a real collector would know what it is, to a normal person its just a polishing wheel.
A big thanks to Flywheel, Chris for selling me the polisher .

It's not everyday you see those tools.
Well done MM, on acquiring both of those rare items.

MM I really like that Polisher didnt realise they made flatbase ones till I saw Flywheels SC2, are the hammers and press brass wheeled on a flatbase also?
I wonder if they come up on ebay occasionally and arnt listed in the steam section, nor mention of steam or engine, and they slip by for a £5.00 bid
Wonder where someone would classify them as if not in steam
Shoe cleaning and repairs I spose

On ebay OZ I quite often find things like that in tin toys and antique toys section and I guess ebay UK will be the same.

Yep i think you're right there tom
I actually got the lineshaft off someone who had a number of pre-war engines but they got thrown out when they moved to Germany
