Prices on Mamod Minor 1 and 2Dear friends! How much do you think I should pay for a Minor 1 or 2 off ebay, used condition, with burner? How much is sensible?
I want to get one as a companion for my Jensen #85.

Hi Tom,
Depends on era to a certain extent, eg, if you want a disc crank MM1 it's going to cost around EU120 or more, wick burner models fetch a bit more than vapourizing burner models and solid fuel ones even less. So I would say any where between 50 - 120 EU depending on the model and condition.

... thanks, Chris! Wow, that's more than I'd expected. I'll keep hunting on ebay. The Minor's size would be almost the exact counterpart of the #85. They'd look good steamin' away on their mutual wooden base.

Having said that, of course there are some bargains around, usually in the UK where it's post to UK only. If you can't find one at a reasonable price around home, maybe one of our UK members might snatch one cheaply for you.
