Princess Elizabeth in Warwick'Lizzy' approaching the Cape Road bridge in Warwick on Saturday morning at 7.30. Unfortuntely I couldn't make it in the afternoon to see it storm up the Lickey incline with two panniers banking it.

That's a great picture - thanks for posting it. My Dad had an allotment there in the 1980's

Great pic. For a moment, I thought my Hornby O gauge clockwork LMS livery Royal Scot had sprung to life. I guess they're the same class (sort of)

The modern buildings in the background bespeak to us that it is a picture of today instead of a bygone era. But may it be like it is : To see a real steam loco under running conditions will always be a great sight.
cheers Joe

Thanks for all the favourable comments, much appreciated. The buildings behind are on the site of Warwick's gasworks - it would have made a far more suitable backdrop!
If anyone wishes to see and hear Lizzie at work later in the day then I recommend this youtube clip - make sure you turn the volume up, and watch out for the panniers banking at the rear!! (the first 45 seconds are a bit unspectacular)
