RC problem

I recieved my RC kit from roundhouse today and it said what else I would need but I dont think I can actually get it all in millies cab even with the full cab kit

so does anyone know if I can or am I going to need a trailing wagon or tender for some of the RC gear

Can you post some images of the cab and the R/C Kit parts?

What kind of instructions does the kit come with?

well I havent got all the parts yet but theres a lot more than I thought to get and the cab is pretty tiny as it is and because I have to keep most of them away from very hot parts it seems almost impossible

Its not impossible! you could make a permenant wagon like a box van & putt all rc in that but would have too keep it as a trailing coach.

if you read my first post on this thread you will see that I know that but would rather not have a trailing wagon or coach.

You could always add a bunker to the rear of the cab and fit in a slim receiver into that?

You'll only need one servo for the R/C wouldn't you?

make a tender. There are such things as tender tanks. This would turn Millies Whyte classification from 0-4-0T to 0-4-0T/T

I was going to until I rememberd that her gas tank is a big block that goes across the back so in order for me to put a tender on and be happy with it the crew would have to have some way of reaching it and the only way for that would be to move the tank into the tender but I am not prepared to do that so I scraped the idea

just took another look at the instruction it says I will need a wagon for the RC equipment but I am sure I can get it in the cab with a bit of thought

Is the r/c fitting kit for the "classic" roundhouse loco's? I'm guessing that there is no mention of where to put the r/c gear in the external fired millie?

Even a bunker would prove to be problematic as you wouldn't be able to route the linkage past the gas tank.

no its 1 of the add-ons for millie so is designed for her

will be going to the model shop tomorrow so will be able to get dimesions and prices for everything else

just got off the phone with roundhouse and apparently the instructions that are supplied are out of date and that I should be able to fit everything into the cab
