Reading Toy FairI thought that you may like to see a few photo's of the engine's I displayed at today's Reading Toy Fair. It was nice to meet JC there.
It is always fatal for my dad and I to go to the toy fair. We never fail to come back with a few new additions and today we went mad. You may spot them in the next two photo's but will post photo's of them tomorrow

Nice photos Steamman. We were there for a couple of hours and saw your display, but didn't see you there. Maybe you had gone for a walk around the rest of the fair.
I didn't buy anything, but there were certainly a few things tempting me to get my wallet out.
It was certainly very busy, and most of the prices I saw on engines for sale seemed fairly priced. I would recommend it, especially for any forum members with an interest in OO or O gauge railways.

Thats a fantastic collection Steamman. Can you tell me what this engine is?...
I've seen those several times before but I know nothing about them. They look very SEL-like, but I assume they're something else?

Hi steve_s
I don't know much about the steam engine but they were produced by a firm called Castle products around 1950-60, who were based in london.
This model is described as model No3

Thanks very much for the information. I have several pictures of them in a folder named Unknown... so I can name it now. It's interesting that it's No.3. Thanks again!

I was wondering about that one myself. Castle is a brand I haven't come across before. It looks abit like a cross between a SEL and a Latimer.

The one in the back left with the red engine base and what looks like side tanks on the boiler. I can't believe how freakin HUGE it is
