Recommended Riveter? Can anyone make a good recommendation regarding a hand riveter as used on Mamod models. On some I find that the rivet stem gets jammed inside the riveter's "jaws" and when I take it apart (by then not in a great mood about it) I can't seem to easily assemble it again and end up throwing it in the bin and getting another one. I am woondering if there is a good quailty one out there that keeps on working properly.
What do you use that is good?
Thanks for you help!

riveterHi
I was a ductwork fitter for many years so rivet guns or pop pliers as we called them were tools of our trade.
Top makes were Gesipa or Tucker's .
The Tucker T55a hand pliers were the best by far and are still around on ebay.
The only thing is they dont allow reach into chimneys like Mamod Minors etc, but for general riveting they are tops.
For that i bought a new cheapo set of Rolson riveters off ebay for under £5 with free postage, and just ground the nose down (mostly paint) so they fitted nicely down the chimney.
If you like hi tech Gesipa and Tucker also do cordless rechargeable units.
Hope this helps

IIRC, the one I use came from Manor Models. Beware, because many of the ones that look as if they would fit are just a bit too big, but this one is fine.

I have a old Craftsman with the different size jaws. It all so can rivet 90 degree and 180 degree. It pays to buy a good quality and not the cheap ones.
