Renown 101 with original funnel and burner

Here are the photo's, I promised Tony, of my latest Ebay purchase. A few drops of oil, a boiler full of water and some meths and she steamed up straight away

Even the burner is in good condition.

There is a scruffy one up at the moment I'm after for the whistle but once the whistle is removed I'm sure the rest will end up being fixed too.
Wallace

That's a neat example, and very complete

Great buy, that Renown is very complete with its burner and filler funnel , and runs like a watch . These engines are so rare and nice ...

I will be parting with one soon and it will be sold via the forum, but not before STWWW.

So after STWWW keep an eye on the for sale section.
It's not as nice as the one above but it is a good runner.
Les

Very nice indeed and complete as well.
Lozza1

I've just cleaned it up. It looks a bit better now

SlideValve

That looks amazing     such a difference a little metal polish makes
tmuir

Nice and shiny!

Unless I can use the buffing machine I just can't be bothered to shine up my engines.

Well it had a bit of untidy soldering on it's top and I couldn't just scrape the top without making the rest shiny to match

It does look better polished though doesn't it
paul_c

That has come up really nice, I love mine.  Get on to Flywheel and add the decal, it really sets them off -

whistleman

nice engine!  my 101 needs a new WL plug bush fitted.
Les

Who would have believed this was under all that grime.
Sandman

Wonderful transformation.

It's amazing just what a good clean and polish can achieve.

Yes much better.
I'm just too lazy, would rather spend the time making new parts than polishing my engines.
johnreid

What a bveauty
Burnmafingers

A good clean and polish is always wort the effort.
That now looks fantastic
Wallace

That has come up very nice.

I see engines like that, and think I should start polishing my engines. But that's all I do, think about it .....I'm too lazy after work or on weekends
