Repro meth burner pics for Rog.I do have the guaze for it, but I have took it out as I have just changed the cotton wool. I timed it on a single filling of meths and it burned with a good flame for 13 minutes.
The pics show it in a Wilesco burner slide. This burner came from steam4fun. If you want one Rog, I'll give him a ring for ya.

Jim they both sell them - they are merely generic burners. Limited meths capacity too.

Wow, they are small.
Someone here (Lewis?) has an adjustable repro one from Forest.
Has a slidy top, to adjust the flame, which I think is a good idea
I can't find one, but it was like this one, anly with an adjustable top

That's the one
I haven't compared the sizes of it compared to a normal burner, but been thinking of getting one to run all my engines on.
Would be a nice touch to adjust the flame
Thanks for finding it

One of my repro vap burners runs a bit fierce so I made it adjustable. I just pop a 5p coin on it to block up some of the surface area. Works a treat. Only thing is don't touch the coin too soon afterwards, you end up with the queens face burnt into your thumb! Ouch.

Not a problem. Thinking of getting one myself to replace the solid fuel burner on my original TE1A. They did make it a bit hidden tho and i only noticed it by chance. Apparently they are made by Bix - the people who make stirling engines!
