Roundhouse new locos

For those interested (and with a lot of cash spare) Roundhouse has just released a new special edition of Lady Anne.
This one has sprung suspension, dummy draincocks opening smokebox door as well as a few extra features.
I'm personally not surew on the colour for me and an extra 200 pounds would push it out of my reach.
But here is the link.

It does look good mate, but the price?
Chris

Can't afford a Lady Anne, but could be tempted at some point by a Bertie.

Anyone got any experience running the "budget" roundhouse locos?
tmuir

I have only had experience with Lady Anne but from my experiences and what I have read and heard from other people is all Roundhouse locos are well made and the customer service is excellent. I had a faulty part in my kit and I rang them up and they just dispatched a replacement part that day no questions asked.

When I built my Lady Anne from the kits all parts just fitted, no filing holes to shift them over a fraction or forcing parts.
Roundhouse are not cheap but then again quality never is.

looks good Tony! I actually quite like the colour on that loco
Chris

Part of me likes the colour, and the other part thinks "wonder what colour they are going to put over the top of that grey primer".

I would need to do some saving up before even buying one of the budget locos. Want to get some track down in the garden first though.

i realy like that...

of course you dont have to pay that much for drain cocks ect there was a article in Garden Rail magazin a while ago on how to put working whistle and draincockes ect on Roundhouse locos

the colour reminds me of photographic grey engine companys used to take phots of there engines in...

AND I LOVE IT!!!
