rs1 burner

Hi  all   as the title says   which is the best type of burner for the loco???    i had a tablet type first but that did not build up enough steam,  then i bought a meths burner from 'forest classsics'   but did not fit too well and also lacked steam   any ideas plse

The three wick Meths burner is the best, one needs to modify the chassis spacer for it to fit.

My Mamod loco is gas fired, and I am very happy with how quickly it raises steam and the run times I get. Plus you can also control the fuel supply in addition to just the reverser, so you can fine-tune your loco's running better than a standard Mamod loco.
