rubber gaskets for Jensen water guage glasshi I was speaking to Graham (Graham-Jilly) today about Jensens, he commented on how weak the paper washers are.I'm just wondering 'bout the alternative, and where i could get some rubber ones
other than that Jensen's Engine's are GREAT!

I used a little Vaseline on both ides of both of the paper gaskets as supplied by Jensen - it seems to make them a little more pliable and less susceptable to breakage.

Clinton, I would do as Chris suggested.
I used to use the vaseline trick on paper type gaskets for cars, around the cooling system, to prolong the life of them.

I tend to put a smear of engine oil on both sides of a washer before I put it on.
