S50 up and runningGot all my pipe work to connect my S50 to the 501 boiler and by the end of the day I had the S50 up and running like a dream. The steam inlet pipe assembly requires a little refining as I only have an air compressor fitting for the engine so had to use an adapter but that will be fixed soon.
I am very happy with the performance of this engine and will post video soon to share my success with you all.
Also had a great day out shopping in China Town, Bangkok as a prelude to my success with the engine setup. Given that it took me nearly 3 weeks to locate meths over here quite a haul I think. Most surprised to find correct copper tube and fittings. I thought I would be waiting for post from UK for these items.
Also got a new work bench so can now detach mini vice from glass coffee table top. Other items include a thread taping set, pipe bender, foot pump, files and new solder torch to name but a few but a little treasure that I did not expect to find was the orange mini compressor on the work bench in the picture.
I have air hoses ordered for this as they were 4mm as opposed to the normal size 6mm but it seems to run well so great addition to the growing workshop (in the corner of my living room).
Cheers and thanks for all the advice and support.

Hey Mick,
Quite a haul in that photo...probably time you moved the vice from the top of that gorgeous glass table! It is very enjoyable to put together something like you are doing with your S-50...hope to see more progress as you make it.
cheers,
Roger

Looking good indeed - If I attached a vice to a glass top table, I would probably be in the casualty department by now

I am glad you managed to get some proper pipework, I was extremely worried over the flexible hose as I have seen first hand what happens to it under steam pressure.
