Sandman’s Personal ViewWell,what can I say? Another successful event that broke all previous records. The content and originality of the tables were even better than last year, and that was fantastic.
Our membership once again, proved beyond doubt, that their support for the hobby, this forum and its members knows no bounds.
Being a member of the team, I have been privileged to witness the build up to the event, where time after time, members contacted us with offers of donations for prizes to help promote the weekend. The support was such that we had to turn down some offers, as we would have had far too many.
Our membership have always displayed a pride in their forum, and wish to be involved in any attempts to make it better. The sheer dedication and hard work we saw manifest itself on these tables is testimony to just that.
I firmly believe that the conscious decision made by our membership and the team, to move away from the over policed, restrictive and out of date bulletin board mentality that exists elsewhere, has been fully justified. The benefits of moving our forum toward forming a toy steam community are there for everyone to see.
As I said in my header, this is a personal view. Personally, I could not be more proud of what we have achieved right here.
I cannot thank you guys enough for making this event the resounding success it undoubtedly was.
