I'm really impressed with the quality of Marklin engineering, and I find myself more and more drawn to older German makes.

I like the guard over the eccentric, a real nice detail that isnt done anymore. Real nice engine, wish I had one like it.

Very nice Sandy. The early German engines are really well thought out. I like the way the exhaust is routed out of the cylinder, and as John pointed out the spatter guard is a nice touch.
