Sandmans Steam In The Park Pics And Vids

What a great time I had guys. Despite the weather being very unsettled, this was a tremendous show.

I'm so glad you guys put me wise to this, as I loved every minute.

Here are some pics to start.

I recognise some of those engines from when they used to visit Summerlee In fact Tigger (the little 1/2 size TE) was stabled at Summerlee when I was there, although I never got to drive it.

If you ever get to visit Summerlee yourself, Sandy, say hello for me. There might still be people there who remember me.

That Fowler steam roller really stands out. Did a nice job shooting the photos of the engines.

Good to meet you, Sandy, and thanks for posting the video.

Its just a pity that the weather over the weekend wasn't the same as we've had the last two days.

Ohh Bugger! I missed the Scottish steam fair this year! I was still at work in Germany. It's a great day out.
steamgranny

Very good mate!!

That Standard is a 1943 model. A couple of easy pointers - it was painted green so the Germans couldn't strafe them as easily, and it has narrow mudgaurds. They cut the metal down from the wide mudgaurds to save for the war effort

Thanks for that mate
kusuchi

Looks like a great day.

Loved the videos.

Did you manage to recruit the last two?
whistleman

Sandy, thanx for the trip 'round the fair.
