Sandtoft Trolley Bus Museum & Rolling Road

Thought some of you might be interested in this.

A very nice chap named Dave phoned last week asking for a Rolling Road. He said he was a curator of Sandtoft Trolley Bus museum and that they have an open weekend on the 26/27 September. Said he was going to display some toy steam mobile engines and wanted to show them running.

Well I like anything to do with transport and being as how it's not far from me I volunteered to make him a display with the rolling road embedded.

So....This is what I came up with. If anyone nearby wants to visit the museum this weekend you should be able to see it running.

Just dropped it off ready for their open day tomorrow.

We tested it on site using Dave's engine running under live steam, and I have to say, it really looks the business with steam coming out of the chimney. Please do go and have a look at all their displays if you live in the vicinity.

Hi Guys,

If you can get up and go along you should do so.

I have been loosley connected to the place for the last 20+ years as my brother has a Trolley Bus there. I ran a selection of stuff at last years toy event, had a real good time.

My brother will be there over this week end with a very fine collection of Triang Minic Motorway - which is great. There is usally several model tram layouts which are really very very good.

I think the cost is about 6 pounds.
