SE2 boiler unionIs the pipe soldered into this? or is it just and interferance fit?

it has a small olive on the pipe and its a compression fit. you have to very careful if you attempt to tighten it!

I had to fit a small O Ring against the olive for mine to seal, works great now.

None of mine have olives.
Just a correct size oring that is large enough to slip over the pipe but is small enough to fit into nut. As you tighten the nut it seals off

Same here.
Just replaced them on my SE4 (6 of them at 79 cents a piece!) I need to find a cheaper source...

Ahh excellent i have a selection of small o rings i'll see if i can find a suitable one.

O ring with 3mm hole works for me.
