Set 7 model Roundabout, motorised

Here is a set 7 model for those electric motors everyone has been showing off but I'll give a big smiley face for the first person who converts it ro run on steam.

Here is a link to another post with some of the models I've built, none are motorised as they were all built before I get any clockwork or steam engines.
Behind them you can just see the base of one side of the Eifel Tower Super Model.
It has been stalled for some time the construction due to it been over taken by some of my other hobbies and the lack of a few hard to get parts.
Think I need to build a smaller model of a fair ground ride and steam power it to get back into it.

Maybe you could stuff a Minor 2 in the back of the firetruck? They're all great, but I love that little red sportscar best. I think those painted Meccano pieces look fine, gives a nice two-tone effect.

I really think you'd get a lot of pleasure in building and steam-powering a fairground ride. I bought a couple Schylling wind-up toys a couple years ago and converted them to steam toys. There's a Ferris Wheel and a Rocket Ride set up on a board and powered by a Wilesco D5. I'd pull it out at christmas time and put it on the counter of our resale store and steam it from time to time during the day. I can't say enough about the feeling you get watching the kids marvel at it. Great fun!

Yes the sports car is my favourite too but my 2 year old sons prefers the firetruck.

A few of the red flexible strips are repaints too as some the paint was completely buggered on them and the front bonnet was a new yellow one that I stripped down and repainted as I had run out of good condition red ones. Atleast I managed to get a matching red.

I have another older and better roundabout and swing boat fairground ride I'll scan tonight and put up.
