Simichrome???I'm going over to Canada in about two weeks guys and I'd like to buy some Simichrome when I'm over there.
Is there a chain store or somewhere our north American friends could recommend??

Hi,
I got mine from a cycle shop in Houston. I think you should be able to get some from any good cycle / motorbike outlet.

Sandy, most Harley Davidson shops in the US carry it, but frankly I just buy mine off eBay at the lowest landed cost.
I recommend tubes NOT tins...tins are too much, get rusty inside and dry up some.
Another item available in many Walmart Stores is "Maas" polish also in tubes. It looks and smells just like SimiChrome, I bet it is the same stuff marketed under another name.

Thanks guys.
I'll take a note of that.

Are you taking orders Sandy.

Simichrome is made in Germany, I would think that it could be found in the UK.
Here is a UK Ebay Store

I've been in that site John.
Just take a look at the postage.

Have you seen the postage costs?
Then compare it to this one who is in the States.

Only kidding on the taking orders bit, as I will probably get some from the link above.

WOW
I never looked at the postage, that is highway robbery. I sure would think that it would be less expensive for you via the EU.
How about this place?

£7.50 (includes postage and packing)

Sandy,
Maas seems to be made of exactly the same stuff, costs less and can be bought at most Walmart stores in North America.
Or you can go to their website www.maasinc.com
Best of luck,

Go for whichever is cheaper, maas or simichrome. I agree, they are the same polish in a different tube.

I have tried three Wal Marts so far, I think they must have districts where some items are stocked and others are not.

I have to get back to Wal-mart and stock up before they stop selling it. The stuff should last at least 10 years.
Offer it as a project boat.

You mentioned Meguiars, I had some Mothers polish (probably 15-20 years old) in an old tin. It was crusty on the surface, but fine underneath and worked well.
Can looked almost the same:

This is where I got mine from, if he hasn't got any more listed it might be worth e-mailing him to see if he is getting anymore.

Darn, that Royal Mail is slow isnt it
One tube should last a long time as a little goes a long way.
