Snips the giant land snail!My new pet a giant land snail (African variant) Iv always wanted a giant land snail and now Iv got 1!
Hes only a little piddler right now but in about a year his shell will be about the size of my fist

Better than dog's anyway, although dog's do taste quite nice. But then again snail's are supposed to be tasty aswell...

One of the local plant nurseries has a pet section and there are land snails there which are huge - Yum Yum ..

It's a good idea for a pet. I presume it'd be pretty low-maintenance, and there's not much danger of it running away.

At least if it does run away, there's no danger of breaking into a sweat trying to catch it.

Dog meat's too stringy and tough- only good for stewing.
My ex- wife's uncle cooked it for me a few times, using garlic, herbs, soy sauce, rice wine and star anise.
Quite nice, but I prefer chicken!

Not really , most species are hermaphodites but some snails are sex diffrentiated . I have Anentome Helena snails in my freshwater to eat other plant destructive snails. You need more than one to breed with that species.

I suppose it can happen that even though it takes two to breed, they both go away pregnant!
